Members
To become a member of a church is to become a member of a larger family. The Bible describes us as sons and daughters of God and each others’ brothers and sisters. Together we are able to accomplish everything God has planned for our ministry together. The materials provided in this section of our website are meant to help you to be aware of the needs and the opportunities that being a member of the Alger Park family offers. Take seriously your place in this family. We cannot do what God has challenged us to do without you!
Membership
Before anything else, know this: everyone is welcome to participate in our worship, programs and activities. But if you would like to dive in to becoming a member, that can happen in a variety of ways. Membership assumes faith by grace in Jesus Christ as both Savior and Lord of your life. If you’re new to that commitment, connect with either of the pastors or any of our elders and they will outline the steps toward membership which may include baptism and a profession of faith. If you are a member of another church and don’t have any unresolved issues with that faith community, you too are welcome and encouraged to speak with either of the pastors or one of the elders who will help you transfer your membership to Alger Park. Our prayer is that you become involved in a faith community that offers you opportunities to worship, grow and serve. We certainly hope and pray that Alger Park Church would be that place for you!
